1. Four Arrested at HOC Meeting: Four people were arrested for disorderly conduct Wednesday night after a meeting of the Housing Opportunities Commission in Kensington. They were protesting the commission’s refusal to preserve the graves buried under the parking lot at its Bethesda headquarters.

3. Historical Role of the First Lady: Historian and author Maurine Beasley will talk about what makes a great first lady and what opportunities she has to use the White House as a platform to gain public attention for social issues.
