1. Municipal Monday: Gaithersburg’s Mayor and Council meet for a planning retreat session at 6 p.m. at Benjamin Gaither Center, 80A Bureau Drive. Here’s the agenda.  The Rockville Mayor and Council meets at 7 p.m. at Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave. The agenda may be found here.

2. MCPS Board of Education Meets:  The Board meets today 5 p.m. to discuss the Equity and Achievement Framework. The public portion of the meeting will be broadcast live on the MCPS website and on MCPS TV (Comcast Channel 34).  Here’s the agenda.

3. Councilmember Will Jawando media briefing:  Councilmember Will Jawando will discuss support of two bills pending in Maryland General Assembly to provide a property tax cut for homeowners in the County and raise additional revenue to support middle-class families.

4. ICC Closures Continue During the Week: The westbound lanes of the ICC between US 1 and I-95 will be closed from today at 9 a.m. through Thursday, Feb. 27 at 5 a.m.

5. Pedestrian Safety Panel Discussion: A panel of guest speakers will discuss ongoing efforts to track and improve pedestrian safety in Montgomery County at the League of Women Voters Trending Topics session today. the discussion takes place at Rockville Memorial Library from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. The event will be live streamed on Facebook @lwvmocomd.org.
