Five Things to Know for Dec. 6 in Montgomery County

1. Damascus State Football Champs:  The Damascus Swarmin’ Hornets are the Maryland 3A State Football Champs with their 38-0 win yesterday against Linganore Thursday in Annapolis. Congratulations!

2. Talking Football:  The Northwest Jaguars take on Wise from Upper Marlboro in the 4A state championship game at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis at 7 p.m.

3. Rockville Exhibit Opens: The story of Rockville in the era of the Underground Railroad is the theme of Peerless Rockville’s new exhibit which opens today with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m.  Learn more and register for the reception here.

4. Countryside Artisans Holiday Tour: Spend a day in the country on a free, self-guided driving tour of artist studios and galleries through scenic Montgomery County.  Dec. 6 – 8, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day.

5. Scuba Santa:  Dive with Scuba Santa at the Olney Swim Center Sunday, Dec. 8 from noon to 4 p.m. All ages are welcome and the cost is free, but donations are accepted.
