Five Things to Know for Dec. 3 in Montgomery County
It’s Monday, Dec. 3, and it’s Inauguration Day for county government.
1. The Inauguration: Marc Elrich will be sworn in as Montgomery County’s new county executive and the nine members of the County Council will be sworn in today, in a ceremony that starts at 11 a.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda. There’s no parking at the Strathmore; you’ll need to take a shuttle to the site. Here are the details.
2. Inaugural Ball: Then tonight, starting at 6 p.m., the Montgomery County Executive’s Ball starts at the Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center. Check the ball’s website for more information.
