Five Things to Know for Dec. 10 in Montgomery County

It’s Monday, Dec. 10. Hanukkah ends tonight, and there are 15 days till Christmas.

1. Gaithersburg Meets: The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council meet at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. The city will get annual reports from the Multicultural Affairs, Cultural Arts, Economic and Business Development and the Olde Towne Advisory committees. You can find the agenda here.

2. Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board: The budget process is the topic for board members who meet from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veterans Place.

3. Military Monday: The Lakeforest mall is providing 10 percent off purchases for any active duty service member, veteran or first responder. Here are the details.

4. Yard House: The Yard House, a new restaurant at the Rio Washingtonian, will have a ribbon cutting hosted by the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce. The ribbon cutting takes place at 10:45 a.m. Time for networking before and after.
