1. Conversation with Councilmember Friedson: Residents may share concerns and discuss important issues specific to their neighborhood with Andrew Friedson, who represents District 1. The event takes place from 8 – 9:30 a.m. at Bagel City, 12119 Rockville Pike, Rockville.
2. Census 2020 Job Opportunities: Work Source Montgomery’s East County H.I.R.E. Center is hosting an information session on full and part time openings with the U.S. Census Bureau from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Silver Spring. Representatives from the 2020 Census will also assist job seekers in applying for open positions within the Bureau. Registration is required with the Maryland Workforce Exchange, here.
3. Photo Opportunities with the Easter Bunny: Visit Westfield Montgomery in Wheaton to get a photo with the Easter Bunny. The Easter set is located on the lower level in the Macy’s Court. Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20.
4. Stand-up Comedy: Comedian Jordan Raybould presents a night of stand-up comedy from the NYC comedy scene at the Barking Dog in Bethesda.
5. Kensington Voting Age: Bethesda Beat reported that the Kensington town council is considering lowering the voting age for local elections to include 16- and 17- year-old residents.
