Five Things to Know for April 11 in Montgomery County

Today is Thursday, April 11. Here are five things to know in Montgomery County.                                                                                                                                                       

1. Live Discussion with County Executive Marc Elrich: This online forum from Noon to 1:00 PM allows county residents to send questions, or comments, directly to County Executive. Questions will be answered during the one-hour discussion time. Please click here to submit your unanswered question.

2. MCPS Continues to host their Boundary Assessment Community Conversation at Earl B. Wood Middle School this evening in Rockville from 7 – 9 pm. For more details click here.

3. Joint Health & Human Services and Public Safety Committee Meeting: This will take place at the Council Hearing Room [100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville] at 9:30 am. Officials will discuss the FY20 Operating Budget and CIP Amendments:
(1) • Adult Drug Court
(2) • Mental Health Court
(3) • Monitored Exchange and Supervised Visitation Center

4. County Burial Sites Inventory and Guidelines – Community Meeting: This will take place at the Olney Library [ 3500 Olney Laytonsville Road] from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Planners to discuss county burial sites inventory and guidelines, and will also explain survey and procedures for maintaining and preserving county cemeteries and burial sites.  Click here for more details.

5. Montgomery Community Media Orientation: This short introduction class will take place today from 6:30 -8:30 pm. This is your first step in creating and sharing content with MCM, learning about our equipment/facilities, and volunteer opportunities.
