Five Things to Know Today, Jan. 25, in Montgomery County

1. MCPS Early Dismissal: It is the end of the second marking period for the public schools, students are dismissed after lunch.

2. Bicycle Master Plan:  The planning board will hold a pubic hearing for the working draft of the new Bicycle Mater Plan at Planning Headquarters in Silver Spring beginning at 6 p.m. A copy of the master plan working draft is available, here.

3. Board of Education Work Session: The Board of Education will hold its Operating Budget Work Session at 5 p.m. The meeting will be live online and on MCPS TV (Comcast Channel 34 and Verizon 36). Find the agenda, here.

4. Coffee With A Cop: The Bethesda Police District will hold a “Coffee With A Cop” session at la Madeleine on Old Georgetown Road at 10 a.m.

5. Pepco Trail Groundbreaking: Montgomery Parks and Pepco break ground on the new six-mile trail that will connect the Muddy Branch Stream Valley to South Germantown Recreational Park at 10:30 a.m. in North Potomac.
