Family of Missing Teacher Offering a $25,000 Reward (VIDEOS)
Family and friends of a missing Olney teacher gathered at the Montgomery County Police Headquarters in Gaithersburg on Monday to ask for the public’s help with finding her.
Laura Wallen, 31, is a teacher at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia and four-months pregnant.
Police said the family became concerned after Wallen was a no-show for the first day of class despite preparing her classroom for weeks.
Wallen’s car, a 2011 Ford Escape, was found parked on the 10600 block of Gramercy Place in Columbia last Thursday.
According to detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department, family members last received a text from Wallen’s phone on the morning of Sept. 4.
The family is offering a reward to anyone with knowledge that leads to her discovery:
Wallen’s boyfriend and father of the child, Tyler Tessier, said that there was no indication before her disappearance that anything was wrong:
