UPDATED: Police Say Elderly Woman Struck by Vehicle in Wheaton Passes Away
UPDATED 1.30.17 Montgomery County police officers say an 82-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle in Wheaton on Jan. 15, died from her injuries at the hospital on Sunday. Police continue to investigate the collision.

ORIGINAL POST An 82-year-old Silver Spring woman is hospitalized with what police describe as “life threatening injuries” after she was struck by a vehicle in Wheaton on Jan. 15, according to a news release from the Montgomery County Police Department.
Police said it happened at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Reedie Drive before noon.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the collision, including what the traffic signal indicated at the time of the collision and whether the woman was in the area of the crosswalk.
