Dianne Reeves Headlines the Silver Spring Jazz Festival Saturday

The 15th Annual Silver Spring Jazz Festival attracted thousands of music lovers to downtown Silver Spring Saturday night despite the rain.

Dianne Reeves, five-time Grammy Award winner and recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters award headlined the festival. Additional performances by Akua Allrich and the Tribe, Charles Wood Quintet, and local favorite Marcus Johnson performing smooth jazz with The Urban Jam Band.

The Silver Spring Jazz Festival is presented by Montgomery County Government, Montgomery County Recreation, The Silver Spring Urban District and corporate sponsors AFI Silver, Comcast, The Fillmore Silver Spring, Bethesda Magazine, The Beacon, The Silver Spring Courtyard by Marriott, ABC7(WJLA-TV), and Maryland State Arts Council.
