Five Things to Know for Nov. 27 in Montgomery County

It’s Tuesday, Nov. 27, and here are five things Montgomery County residents need to know:

1. Get to know your County Exec-elect: Marc Elrich is holding a listening session tonight at East County Community Center in Silver Spring from 7:30 – 9 p.m.

2. Council is in session: Montgomery County Council is meeting today at 2:30 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.

3. The club that makes you a stronger speaker and leader: NIH Evening Speakers Club meets tonight from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center on the second floor.

4. Celebrate the holidays: From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Sandy Spring Museum is holding its Fine Arts & Crafts Holiday Gift Show. Do your holiday shopping locally and check out the many talented artists from around the community.

5. See the lights: Check out the Garden of Lights at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
