Black History Month: MCM Spotlights the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce

The Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce is focused on starting, sustaining and growing successful black businesses throughout the state.

The organization does this by offering networking opportunities, resources and partnerships which provide training, workshops, coaching and funding assistance.

Currently, officials say there are about 200 business within the Chamber throughout Maryland, and 50% of their membership is based in Montgomery County.

ABCD & Company, a marketing and events firm located in Rockville, is among the variety of businesses that are a part of MBCC.

The goal is development and growth geared towards economic empowerment.

The Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce will also be hosting the State of Black Business event which will take place at the Silver Spring Civic Center on March 18 from 6 – 9 pm.
