Behind the Scenes of Winter Lights at Seneca Creek State Park in Gaithersburg (VIDEO)

In this MyMCMedia Extra video, go behind the scenes of the 20th annual Winter Lights Festival in Gaithersburg.

Work got started on the city’s holiday lights festival in October and the signature exhibit this year is a Fantasy Castle.

As you will see in the video, below, some of the light displays are set up on floating docks. This year, city officials contracted with a tree company to install lights in the trees at the park — see the bucket truck  — to give this year’s show a new dimension.

The Winter Lights Festival is open nightly from Nov. 27 – Dec. 31. The festival is closed on Christmas Day. There are several special events planned this year, including Wine Under the Lights, Run Under the Lights, Smore Lights and Trolley Rides, and Leashes and Lights. Some of these special events have already sold out.

You can find out more on the city’s website, here.
