Five Things to Know for June 10 in Montgomery County

Here are five things to know in Montgomery County for Wednesday, June 10.

1. Bethesda Streetery:  Several streets in Downtown Bethesda will be closed to traffic starting today for the “Bethesda Streetery,” an outdoor seating and curbside retail initiative.

2. Microenterprise Stabilization Program: The county’s Microenterprise Stabilization Program will begin taking applications today. It’s meant to help for-profit businesses with five or fewer employees.

3. Race-Based Trauma Event: Montgomery College will host a virtual event called “Race-Based Trauma and Its Impact on Student College Persistence” at 3 p.m.

4. Boxed Groceries & Meal Distribution: Get groceries and meals while supplies last at the Peoples Community Baptist Church in Silver Spring from 1-3 p.m.

5. Senior Planet Montgomery: Senior Planet Montgomery continues to offer classes to older residents. Today’s classes include “How to Spot Fake News” and “Exploring with Google Maps.”
