Keeping Up With Katie: Ledecky Withdraws From Two Events at Worlds
The latest news and information about Olympic champion swimmer and Montgomery County’s own Katie Ledecky.
The world championships in South Korea are not going according to plan for Bethesda’s Katie Ledecky. On Sunday, the five-time Olympic gold medalist was beaten in the 400m freestyle event by an Australian teenager. And Monday, Ledecky withdrew from the 200 meter and 1500 meter freestyle events due to undisclosed ailment.
No update on Katie Ledecky, who earlier Tuesday withdrew from two events at FINA world championships, citing medical reasons. Am told they’re still waiting on test results and might not have anything to report until after she gets another full night’s rest https://t.co/b1m6veB2Ba
