2. County Capital Budget: County Executive Marc Elrich released his recommended Capital Budget for 2020 with amendments to the FY19-24 Capital Improvement Program.

3. Planning Meeting: The Planning Board meets today with a full agenda. The meeting agenda may be found, here.

4. BOE Meeting:  The Board of Education hosts the second night of public hearings on the Operating Budget at 6 p.m. Input is also accepted online, here.

5. BlackRock’s Singer-Songwriter Series: Award-winning folk singer Beth Wood performs at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown tonight.

And one more thing: The Third Thursday Poetry Reading takes place at the Takoma Park Community Center. Local poets Anne Becker, Katharine Lorr, Cliff Lynn, and Elizabeth Rees will read their original work with introductions by Takoma Park Poet Laureate Kathleen O’Toole. The audience can meet the poets at a reception following the reading.
