Here are some of our picks for arts and entertainment this weekend:

Art:

• The 14th annual Bethesda Fine Arts Festival takes place this weekend with hours on Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival is located in Woodmont Triangle along Norfolk and Auburn Avenues and will be held rain or shine. Festival includes the works of 300 artists, live music and food vendors.
• Strathmore Mansion currently has two exhibits on display through May 21, the 31st Biennial of the Creative Crafts Council and The Space Between. Admission is free; hours are posted, here.
• Glenview Mansion’s current exhibit features the work of four artists, including Jennifer Kahn Barlow, Sara Leibman, Coriolana Simon, and Barbara Bell. Works are on display through May 12.
• The opening reception for Gallery B’s May exhibit titled “May Daze and Abstract Nights” will be held May 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit features the works of artists from Be Dot Gallery and will run through May 27.
• BlackRock Center for the Arts hosts two exhibits this month. In the Kay Gallery works by Mike McConnell are on display through June 10. Alexandra Chiou’s mixed-media paintings are on display in the Terrace Gallery through June 3. Both artists will talk about their work and conduct a gallery tour, Saturday, May 20 from 2 to 3 p.m.
• The Gaithersburg Fine Arts Association presents a collection of multimedia works at Kentlands Mansion through July 7.
• The “Modern Surrealists” exhibit is on display at the Arts Barn Gallery now through July 4 and features the works of Marco Cuba-Ricsi, John Duke and Thomas Germer. An opening reception is planned for Thursday, May 18.
• Artist & Makers Studios present three exhibits at their Wilkins Avenue location and two exhibits at their Parklawn location. All exhibits are on display now through May 25.
• Waverly Street Gallery’s new exhibit, Textures in Glass by Jill Tanenbaum is on display through June 3. The opening reception is scheduled for May 12 from 6 to 9 p.m.
• The Glen Echo Park Partnership operates three galleries with ongoing art exhibits. Find more information about their schedule by visiting the website, here. During the months of May through September, Glen Echo hosts Art Walk on the first Friday of the month with open studios and demonstrations throughout the park. Each month the event features different activities.

Family:

• The 7th annual Montgomery County Strawberry Festival takes place Saturday, May 13 at
  Camp Bennett Farm in Brookeville. Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• The Puppet Co. Playhouse production of Cinderella opens this week and runs through June 11 at Glen Echo Park.
• Adventure Theatre’s production of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp runs through May 21 at Glen Echo Park. Friday’s performance is sold out.
• Hālau Nohona Hawai`i, a native Hawaiian cultural and dance organization based in Silver Spring, performs May 13. Food trucks and Hawaiian-style vendors will be available.
• Imagination Stage’s production of The Jungle Book continues in Bethesda.
• Brookside Garden’s live butterfly exhibit, Wings of Fancy, runs now through Sept. 17.
• Coming up: Strathmore’s next family jazz session is scheduled for Saturday, May 20 and focuses on improvisation. Recommended for 3-8 year-olds.
• Coming up: Imagination Stage’s Summer Sunday Fun-days begin July 9. The workshops are designed for 1 to 5 year-olds and include dramatic play, movement, music and visual art based on a popular children’s book.

Theater, Film & Conversation:

• The Germantown Historical Society hosts “Between the Bullet and the Hospital: Clara Barton and the Civil War” Saturday, May 13 at the Germantown Library. Park Ranger Kevin Patti will describe the brave actions of Clara Barton with an illustrated presentation. This is a free program open to the public.
• Olney Theatre’s production of The Magic Play has been extended through May 14.
• Montgomery Playhouse’s production of the comedy An American Daughter opens Friday at Gaithersburg Arts Barn and runs through May 28.
• Rockville Little Theatre presents Landford Wilson’s Book of Days at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville through May 14.
• Montgomery History’s curator Elizabeth Lay will lead an examination of the history and construction of American furniture produced from 1700 to 1825. The “Day with the Curator” event takes place at the Beall-Dawson Museum; registration is required, here.
• Silver Spring Stage production of Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson opens May 19. The play is based on the true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt.
• Coming up: Montgomery College’s Monday Night Film Series returns June 5 with The Bad Sleep Well. All the films explore the 1960’s. Films are free and open to the public. Films are shown at the Parilla Performing Arts Center on the Rockville Campus.
