Police to Participate in Tip-a-Cop Event to Benefit Special Olympics Maryland (PHOTOS)

Officers from the Montgomery County Police Department along with, the Chevy Chase Village Police Department, Maryland-National Capital Park Police (Montgomery County Division), Rockville City Police Department, and Montgomery County Police Explorer Post 1986 will be participating in a national Tip-a-Cop benefit event this Saturday.

According to a news release, officers will volunteer their time to collect tips and help serve at the Germantown Red Robin restaurant location to help raise funds for the Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD).

One hundred percent of tips collected by law enforcement volunteers will go to SOMD.
