MCPS Sportsmanship Awards (PHOTOS)

MCPS Sportsmanship Award. Awarded by Duke Beattie, MCPS Director of Systemwide Athletics. Award recipients were the tops in all categories as judge by observers over the 2015-16 Season. Awards were given at the annual meeting between the 25 High School Athletic Directors and District representatives of the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD). All winners group shot. Montgomery County Public Schools recently recognized good sportsmanship for the 2015-2016 school year. The awards were presented at a meeting of athletic directors, county police officers and systemwide athletics held August 17. For the 2015-2016 school year, Seneca Valley earned first place; Northwest second and Gaithersburg third. The county’s Sportsmanship Award Program has been in place for 14 years.
