Police Ask for Assistance in Shady Grove Metro Robbery Case (VIDEO)

Montgomery County Police is searching for three suspects involved in an armed robbery that took place in an elevator at the Shady Grove Metro station.

According to a news release, on May 8, a 17-year-old male victim told police he had been robbed at gunpoint by three black males while riding the elevator.

Surveillance video shows the victim and three suspects.

Police said the three suspects are described as follows:

The suspect with the handgun is described as a black male, approximately 17-20 years of age, 6’ and weighing approximately 170 pounds. This suspect was wearing a red hat and a purple t-shirt with the words “I Love DC” across the front.

The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 17-20 years of age, 5’10” in height with a thin build. This suspect was wearing a gray shirt and a teal backpack that concealed the handgun used during the robbery.

The third suspect is described as a black male, approximately 17-20 years of age, 6’5” in height with a thin build. This suspect was wearing a black t-shirt and sunglasses during the robbery.

According to police, anyone who has information about this robbery is asked to contact the 1st District Investigative Section at 240.773.6084. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
