Minimum Wage Increase Rally (Photos)
Montgomery County Council President Nancy Navarro and Councilmembers Marc Elrich, Valerie Ervin and George Leventhal spoke to a rally on Nov. 21 in Rockville organized to urge the Council to approve Bill 27-13, which would establish a county minimum wage. The legislation would have a three-year, gradual phase-in period that would increase the County minimum wage for most private sector employees to $11.50 per hour.
The rally was organized by the National Organization for Women, UFCW Local 1994, and the Progressive Democrats of America.
