Today is Tuesday, June 8, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County.

1. MCPS Graduations: Poolesville commencement begins at 9 a.m. today at the school. Families are invited to share their graduate’s photos. Here’s a full look at the schedule of commencement ceremonies in Montgomery County.

2. COVID-19 Testing and Vaccine Clinics: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at 10 testing sites today. Montgomery County clinics are now vaccinating Marylanders age 12 and older. Appointments may be made online here.

3. Rockville Leaders Join I-270, 495 Rally: Rockville’s Mayor and Council is joining a rally this afternoon to show their opposition to adding toll lanes to interstates 270 and 495.

4. Ezekiel’s Law: This morning, Council President Tom Hucker and County Executive Marc Elrich will be joined by lvine Nguemezi, mother of Ezechiel Nguemezi, to sign Bill 51-20 into law. The law, called “Ezekiel’s Law” in honor of Nguemezi’s late son who died at 2 years-old by falling out an apartment window, will enhance housing safety for tenants by requiring landlords to install window guards in apartment buildings.

5. ICYMI: Montgomery County leaders marked the start of Pride Month on Wednesday with a flag raising ceremony outside the Executive Office Building in Rockville.
