21 This Week: Montgomery County’s Draft Land Use Plan

Casey Aiken hosts the latest episode of 21 This Week. On this week’s show, Aiken and the panel discuss:

  • Montgomery County is working on a new 50-year plan for land use titled Thrive Montgomery 2050. A coalition of 29 neighborhood associations wrote to the County Council requesting significant changes to the initial draft plan. Special guest Kim Persaud speaks with Aiken about the coalition’s concerns. (1:07)
  •  The County Council supports a zoning amendment to support 5G cell antennas. (13:47)
  • Gov. Hogan does not pursue ending federal unemployment supplemental benefits after losing an appeal this week. (16:04)
  • The Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission is holding its first community meeting on July 21 for residents of Montgomery County. (18:00)
