Why Immigration Status is Not a Concern for Police Chief Tom Manger (VIDEO)

During a recent discussion with Montgomery College President Dr. DeRionne Pollard regarding race, diversity and community policing, Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger talked about immigration.

Dr. Pollard asked Manger, “Why are you so adamant about  your officers not asking about people’s immigration status?”

Manger responded, “If we become the immigration police, if we’re asking about people’s immigration status … we’re doing a disservice to public safety in our community in Montgomery County.”
