What You Need to Know About Those Itchy Mite Bites

Cicada mania ended several weeks ago but just when you thought you were in the clear with bug infestations, along come oak mites, an almost invisible insect that feeds off of cicada eggs and likes to bite humans.

MyMCM talked to University of Maryland entomologist Dr. Michael J. Raupp — “The Bug Guy” as he is called — to find out everything you need to know about the oak mite invasion and the bites that are causing many people a lot of discomfort and itchiness in recent days.
