- BlackRock Center for the Arts opens its 2016 season with Nathan and the Zydeco Cha-Chas Creole music at 8 p.m. Enjoy a Cajun/Creole dinner catered by the Louisiana Kitchen prior to the show at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 24:
- The 9th Annual Hometown Get Down Music Festival takes place in Clarksburg to benefit the Bernie House, a transitional housing program for victims of domestic violence.
- The DC Metro Aviation Services Annual Open House takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Montgomery County Airpark. Family friendly activities include kids arts and crafts, remote control aircraft demonstration, Cessna 172 airplane rides, live music and more.
- The Teddy Bear Clinic is open today at the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Silver Spring from 10 a.m. to noon. Perfect for children PreK to 2nd grade.
