We Love Weekends: Montgomery County Planner for Nov. 16 – Nov. 18

Glen Echo Holiday Art Show & Sale takes place from Saturday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Dec. 30.  The show features Glen Echo’s resident artists and instructors, as well as other invited guests, with works in glass, ceramics, photography, painting, and jewlery.

Friday, Nov. 16

The 3 Redneck Tenors  The musical comedy trio feature classically-trained artists combine laughter with fantastic music. The score is written by opera-veteran Matthew Lord and arranged by award-winning composer Craig Bohmler.

Kourosh Taie – Labor of Love  In his one-man show Kourosh Taie will take you on a magical journey where comedy, magic and mentalism collide to create a tour de force of elegant deceptions and spellbinding entertainment. Recommended for ages 15 & up.

BSO Off the Cuff: Copland Symphony No. 3  Baltimore Symphony conductor Marin Alsop explores American composer, Aaron Copland and his Third Symphony (1946). This 90-minute Off The Cuff concert provides more insight into a single work, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Social Dance  Contra dance is a type of folk dance for all ages and a social dance.  You do not need to bring a partner. There is a beginner’s lesson from 7:30 pm – 8:15 pm which is included in the price of admission. If Glen Echo Park closes due to inclement weather the dance will be canceled.

Tree Lighting and Party Rockville’s annual tree lighting includes Santa, live music, strolling entertainment, a live dance performance by Dawn Crafton Dance Connection, merchant specials and the annual lighting of the Rockville Town Square Christmas Tree.
