Dave Hollister: Rhythm & Blues, as well as gospel singer, Dave Hollister may be best known for his 2000 gold-certified album Chicago ’85… The Movie with the hit “One Woman Man.” He has two concerts in Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club, 7719 Wisconsin Ave.  Doors open at 6 p.m. For more information, click here. $59.50-$79.50.

Mary Stuart: Based on the play by Friedrich Schiller, the story is set in the 16th Century. Queen Elizabeth I must decide whether to put her cousin, Mary Queen of Scots to death. Runs through June 9 at Olney Theatre Center, 2001 Olney-Sandy Spring Road. For more information, click here. $69-$74.

Flags for Our Heroes Opening Ceremony:  This annual display of 750 American flags honors community heroes, both past and present. The opening ceremony takes place at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg, Saturday, May 27 at 11 a.m. Click here for more information.

Outdoor Pools:  Montgomery County outdoor pools open Saturday, May 25 at noon. The Gaithersburg Water Park at Bohrer Park and the outdoor pools at Rockville Swim Center also open Saturday. The outdoor pools will be open on weekends and Memorial Day until June 15. At that time, they will also be open weekdays through Sept. 2.

Hometown Holidays: Rockville’s annual celebration includes the music festival and Taste of Rockville.  Check out the schedule of live music on the four stages and the list of participating restaurants.  Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26.  Rockville Town Square, 30 Maryland Avenue.  Click here for more information.
