We Love Weekends: Montgomery County Planner for Jan. 18-Jan. 20

Celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday at the City of Rockville’s Martin Luther King, Jr Day celebration in the morning or at the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Tribute & Celebration at Strathmore Monday afternoon. Both events include performances and awards.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day also provides an opportunity to give back to the community. Check out this list of service projects.

Friday, Jan. 18

Catch Me If You Can Montgomery Playhouse, in partnership with Arts on the Green, present a comedy-mystery about the disappearance of a bride during her honeymoon. Recommended for ages 15 and up. BSO Sibelius Violin Concerto: The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs Sibelius Violin Concerto, Wagner Siegfried Idyll and Haydn Symphony No. 104 led by guest conductor Markus Stenz and featuring Latvian violinist Baiba Skride.  At the Music Center at Strathmore. 8 p.m. For more information, click here. $35-$90.
