Washington Spirit’s Joanna Lohman Honored at Saturday’s Match

Tie Washington Spirit 0 Houston Dash 0

It was a draw between the Houston Dash and the hometown Washington Spirit Saturday night at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds.  The Spirit remained undefeated.  The show was really about Joanna Lohman.  Lohman  played 16 years of professional women’s soccer.  Saturday’s game was the Spirit’s inaugural Pride match and her #Forever15 retirement game.

The Maryland SoccerPlex crowd was late arriving.  However, more then 2,000 fans were there at halftime when Joanna was honored by the organization.  Below are images of that moment at halftime and a couple more leading up to the after game event.
