Washington Spirit Players Say They’re Ready for Championship Game (VIDEOS)

The Washington Spirit is heading to the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) final for the first time ever. The team won the semi-final game against the Chicago Red Stars in overtime at the Maryland SoccerPlex on Sept. 30th.

MyMCMedia caught up with the team during their practice earlier this week. In the MyMCMedia Extra videos, below, players Shelina Zadorksy and Francisca Ordega talk about their role in helping the team make it to the championship.

Both Zadorsky and Ordega say the team is ready to take on the Western New York Flash.”They’re strong, they’re fast, but I can’t say they’re better than us. We are better than any other team in the league,” said Ordega.

The Washington Spirit face-off against the Western New York Flash on Sunday in Houston,TX at 5 p.m.
