Two MCPS Schools Receive Top Honors from U.S. Department of Education
Two schools from Montgomery County Public Schools system received national recognition for their academic excellence and progress in closing the achievement gap.
Farmland and Ronald McNair Elementary Schools received the National Blue Ribbon School award from the U.S. Department of Education.
Every year, the U. S. Department of Education honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools for their academic achievements with its National Blue Ribbon Schools program.
More than 8,500 schools across the country have been presented with this top honor.
This year, 342 schools from 44 states and the District of Columbia received the award.
