Trust was taken to Bennett Creek Animal Hospital on Monday morning for treatment according to a Facebook post from Owl Moon Raptor Center. Dr. Debbie Deans examined Trust and learned that her left shoulder was fractured due to an impact, most likely caused by an automobile. Trust’s wing will be wrapped for the next three weeks so that the fracture may heal.

Trust is also suffering from trauma to her cranial air sacs which are part of her respiratory system making it difficult for her to breathe.  Staff at the Owl Moon Raptor Center are confident that Trust will recover from her respiratory injuries but are guarded on the prognosis for her returning to full flight.

You can keep up with the recovery by taking a look at Owl Moon Raptor Center’s Facebook page.
