Trojans Move on to MPSSAA 4 West Regional Playoff (PHOTOS)

Gaithersburg’s baseball team came ready to play on Wednesday evening and smoked the Quince Orchard Cougars 8 to 1 to advance to the 4A West MPSSAA playoff.

Trey Martinez and Nick Pantos, the Trojan’s, respective catcher and pitcher/second-baseman, sparked this explosive team with home runs. Brendan Deyo pitched through five and one-third innings holding the Cougars to one run and Bradley Sawyer came in for relief to close out the game.

Gaithersburg will face Montgomery Blair on Friday for the 4 West Championship game at 4:15 p.m. on their home field.
