The Montgomery County Board of Education appointed Traci Townsend as principal of Bethesda-Chevy Chase Middle School No. 2.
According to the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) website, the project is still under construction.
The new middle school is scheduled to open Aug. 2017.
