TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm Day 4 Notes

POTOMAC, MD: July 1, 2018

The sun came down on the TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm as Francesco Molinari accepted the capitol-esk trophy.  Molinari had this won at the 2nd hole after he hit a shot out of the bunker and sank the next put for a birdie to go 14 under.  He finished the day at eight under 62 to tie the course record set the previous day.  His rounds for the four days at par 70 TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm were 67, 65, 65 and 62 for a total of 21 under par.

Enough said.  Ryan Armour was 2nd at 13 under.  It was Molinari’s  game from the start and now he has his biggest career pay day at $1.278 million.  That’s not bad for a hot weekend in Washington.

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed the images chosen for this last PGA event for the foreseeable future in the DMV and here in Montgomery County.  I enjoyed the years covering the Quicken Loan National and all previous iterations of this fine event.

Good Night from Potomac, Md.
