The Latest COVID-19 Numbers for Maryland, Montgomery

Monday morning, the Maryland Department of Health reported 61 new COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County. This brings the cumulative case count to 22,421 since the start of the pandemic.

The county had a rolling seven-day average of 2.47% for positive COVID-19 tests, which is a lower rate than 12 of Maryland’s 24 jurisdictions.

Montgomery County has led the state in coronavirus-related fatalities, adding three more since Sunday for a pandemic total of 807. Prince George’s County, however, has recorded over 6,800 more cases in total since March.

The state recorded 477 new infections Monday, bringing its total to 123,880. Three new deaths were reported Monday morning, making the pandemic death toll 3,793.

Monday the state reported a rolling seven-day average of 2.58% for positive COVID-19 tests.
