Putting the Stories to Bed

 

Today is a bittersweet day, the final Summer Backpack Journalism Academy project was completed and all three sessions are done. What a whirlwind summer. I can’t believe how fast the past six weeks have passed. It seems like I was just getting the materials together for the first session. I am very pleased with the work that all of our reporters have done over the past six weeks. They are remarkable teenagers and I am honored that they chose to spend two weeks with me during the summer learning such an amazing skills. I am sure you will in awe at what they have put together. Those stories will be hitting our website soon, so until then, you will have to be in suspense.
