Updated: Teenage Victim Identified in Aspen Hill Homicide
Updated Information: Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department are still investigating a fatal shooting that happened in the Aspen Hill area on Hewitt Avenue last week. The victim has recently been identified as 19-year-old Robert George Dockery.
Authorities say no suspects have been arrested, and this investigation remains ongoing.

Original Post: A 19-year-old man died from an apparent gun shot wound in Aspen Hill Thursday night.
According to Montgomery County Police, Thursday at 11:35 p.m., 4th District officers were patrolling the Aspen Hill area when they heard gunshots. As they began investigating, numerous calls were made to the Emergency Communications Center concerning a shooting outside in the 3100 block of Hewitt Avenue.
Officers located the victim in the street of that block. The victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Police attempted life-saving measures until the victim was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries, according to police.
Police are investigating.
