In this MyMCMedia Extra video, former POW Everett Alvarez, Jr. addresses the crowd gathered for Montgomery County’s salute to its Vietnam veterans at The Universities at Shady Grove on Oct. 24th. Alvarez was the first American aviator shot down over Vietnam and was held a prisoner of war for 8 1/2 years.

In this MyMCMedia Extra video, Tom Murphy, a Vietnam veteran, addresses the audience gathered for Montgomery County’s salute to its Vietnam veterans. Tom Murphy was awarded the Purple Heart. He is the first Vietnam veteran to be elected president of the Maryland State Bar Association.
