Gaithersburg City Council approved annexation of the Sears property on Shady Grove Road despite vigorous opposition from Rockville City officials.

Following the resignation of City Manager Angel Jones, the Gaithersburg City Council appointed Deputy City Manager Tony Tomasello as Acting City Manager at the June 18 meeting.
