Robin Ficker, a longtime political activist in Montgomery County politics, ran as the Republican candidate for Montgomery County Executive. With just over 16 percent of the vote, Ficker conceded the race to Marc Elrich. In this short video, Ficker talks about his campaign.  

Nancy Floreen, a longtime county council member, ran as an independent for County Executive in Montgomery County. With just under 20 percent of the vote, Floreen conceded the race to Marc Elrich. In this short video, Floreen thanks her supporters.        

Montgomery County’s new county executive will be Marc Elrich, who captured 64.3 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s unofficial results. Elrich defeated Democrat-turned-Indepenedent Nancy Floreen who received 19.2 percent and Republican Robin Ficker who received 16.4 percent.
