Students, staff and parents at Montgomery Knolls and Pinecrest elementary schools in Silver Spring recently celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month. The celebration featured a book fair, dance performances, fashions and food demonstrations. Find out more in this report from MCPS-TV, below:

Teacher volunteers from Flora M. Singer Elementary School gave up part of their summer to create an active learning experience for kids in Silver Spring. It’s called the Singer Sea Turtles Summer Fun Camp and it takes place in the campers’ backyard. MCPS-TV reports.

Montgomery County officials are celebrating the launch of the Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL) program this summer. The program will serve one thousand students a year for four years.
