Nine people were celebrated on October 25th at the 14th Annual County Executive’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities. To find out more about the awards, you can visit the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County website.

A Montgomery County delegation will travel to El Salvador on Nov. 7 – Nov. 10,  four years after a Sister City agreement was made between Montgomery County and Morazán, El Salvador. Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett recently discussed connecting youth to opportunity at an event where a study on improving opportunity in Montgomery County was presented.

On Oct. 24th, Montgomery County hosted a salute entitled, “Honor and Gratitude,” to recognize its Vietnam veterans. MyMCMedia’s Sonya Burke reports that it was an emotional ceremony for many who attended the event at The Universities at Shady Grove.
