Swastika Drawn on Quince Orchard High School Restroom Wall
Montgomery County police are investigating an incident involving a swastika drawn on the wall of a boys restroom at Quince Orchard High School.
According to police, a visitor at the school discovered the drawing Tuesday morning. Police Spokesperson Rebecca Innocenti said the symbol was written in pen on a tile.
Quince Orchard High School Principal Carole Working sent a letter home to students. “This type of behavior will not be tolerated and those found responsible will be subject to disciplinary actions aligned with the Student Code of Conduct,” Working wrote.
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Superintendent Jack Smith recently released a video statement where he said, “These are deeply disturbing incidents.” “It is simply wrong,” Smith said.
Police are working to determine when it had been written, Innocenti said.
