Summer Concert Series Lineup in Silver Spring

The 2017 Silver Spring Summer Concert Series, presented by the Montgomery County Department of Recreation, will kick off on Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. on Veterans Plaza at the Silver Spring Civic Building at Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street. The free, outdoor concerts, featuring a wide range of music and musicians for the whole family, will take place on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. from June 15 to August 3.

A raffle, with prizes for children and adults, will be held at each concert. Attendees may bring picnics or purchase food from one of the nearby restaurants.

The schedule of concerts is posted below:

June 15 – Built for Comfort Band (Blues, Soul, R&B)
June 22 – Bobby & the Believers (Classic “horn band” sound)
June 29 – David Bach Consort (Smooth Jazz)
July 6 – MoCo’s Got Talent (Youth performances)
July 13 – Second Wind (80s hits)
July 20 – Gary and the Groove (60s covers)
July 27 – Rock & Roll Relics (Oldies)
August 3 – Moxie Blues Band (Blues)

The concerts are sponsored by Discovery Communications, Live Nation, Silver Spring Urban District, and Foundation to Celebrate Downtown Silver Spring.

Concerts will be canceled if it is raining at 7 p.m.
