Silver Spring Starbucks Burglarized, Police Searching for Suspect

Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department are searching for a suspect after a Starbucks in downtown Silver Spring was broken into.

According to a press release, the suspect used a rock to break the front door glass of the coffee shop located on the 8000 block of Colesville Road on Thursday December 12.

Surveillance video shows that, while inside, the suspect stole a cash box with an undisclosed amount of money inside of it before fleeing on foot.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the suspect to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
