Silver Spring Man Dies Following Fatal Collision in Aspen Hill
A 24-year-old Silver Spring man was killed after ejecting from his motorcycle Aug. 26 in a two-vehicle collision.
According to Montgomery County Police detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit, a blue and black 2005 Yamaha R6 motorcycle was traveling westbound on Norbeck Road at Layhill Road in Aspen Hill at 8 p.m. when it struck a silver 2006 Buick Rendezvous.
According to police, the driver of the Buick attempted to turn left from eastbound Norbeck Road onto Layhill Road at the time of the accident. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other driver was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
