Search for Hoggle Toddlers Continues

Troy Turner, the father of the missing Hoggle toddlers, said he is leading search teams this weekend into wooded areas in Upcounty, but also reviewing surveillance video of area businesses hoping to find signs of his children.hogglesearch

Turner said so far he hasn’t come up with any evidence on either front.

“It’s all about trying to find information to lead us to them,” he told MyMCMedia Friday.

Sarah, 3 and Jacob 2, have been missing for about two weeks now. Their mother Catherine Hoggle,  a diagnosed schizophrenic, is charged in their disappearance. She so far has been unwilling to tell investigators where the children are.

So Turner searches.

Montgomery County Police using search teams from a variety of area jurisdictions have covered more than 13,000 acres in the Upcounty area. Hoggle lived in Clarksburg but she was arrested in Germantown on Sept. 12. Her parents live in Darnestown. The focus of the searches have mostly been in those areas.

Turner said Hoggle had “dirt under her fingernails” and other indications that she had been in the woods when she was arrested. This weekend, he is asking volunteers to help him search areas in the Upcounty. He said he is coordinating his searches with those of the police. Anyone willing to help can meet at Seneca Valley High School at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. He said his search teams are also accepting donations of things like water and bug spray.

Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Angela Cruz said Friday police searches today are focused on Darnestown and Interstate-270 corridor.
